Climate Action Innovation Zone

The Climate Action Innovation Zone, organised by Climate Action in partnership with Scottish Enterprise, is a powerful example of the importance of public private partnerships in addressing climate change. The Zone places innovation and investment at the heart of COP26 to accelerate the pathway to net zero and achieve a just transition.

The Innovation Zone is built on Cessnock Quay, Glasgow, owned by Scottish Enterprise, and is located approximately 300 metres from the COP26 Green & Blue Zones.

By foot

The Climate Action Innovation Zone is within walking distance of the Green Zone, Blue Zone, Cessnock Quay subway and the Green Zone bus stop.

  • Blue Zone. 16 minutes
  • Glasgow City Centre. 35 minutes*

* Please note Bell’s & Millennium Bridges are closed for both pedestrians and vehicle access.

By public transport

The venue is accessible by:

  • Subway: Cessnock Subway Station. 14 minutes’ walk
  • Train: Exhibition Centre Station. 25 minutes’ walk
  • Bus:
    • Green Zone Bus Stop. 3 minutes’ walk
    • X19 Govan Road / Pacific Quay (Stagecoach)
    • No 90 Paisley Road West (First Bus)
    • 23 & 26 Pacific Drive (McGill’s Bus)

By car

The Innovation Zone features a dedicated drop & go zone 20-metres from the venue entrance.

Drop Off Instructions

  • When arriving at Pacific Quay by vehicle please show your printed or digital event pass to the Traffic Marshall who will be standing at point 1 on the map
  • You will be directed to the entrance Gate (point 2 on the map), where your name will be checked against a list of speakers and VIP guests.
  • You will be invited to drive into the Drop Off & Pick Up Area where your vehicle can turn, drop off (at point 3 on the map) and depart. Please note vehicles dropping off Speakers and VIP guests are not allowed to wait. They must leave the Drop Off and Pick Up Area immediately.

Pick Up Instructions 

  • When you pick up your delegate badge at the registration desk, you will asked if you wish to arrange a 20 minute Pick Up slot, for your driver to wait in their vehicle inside the Drop Off & Pick Up Area, whilst you depart from the venue.
  • If you wish to arrange a pickup slot, you must then book a 20 minute Pick Up Slot, at the Help Desk a minimum of 30 minutes before your preferred pick up time. You should provide the help desk with your name and arrival time of the vehicle.

No parking on site

Please note that as per Police Scotland protocols, there are no car parking facilities from 8 – 11 November, but that there will be an opportunity for event partners to park cars & small vans during the event set-up and breakdown.
