The Climate Innovation Forum returns for the fifth year as a flagship event of London Climate Action Week. Taking place on Wednesday 28 June in Guildhall – at the heart of London’s finance district – the event will bring together 700 senior public and private sector decision makers to help turbocharge our transition to net zero.
Organised by Climate Action, will bring together policy makers, investors, climate-tech solution providers, business leaders and innovation catalysers to help achieve our net zero ambitions regionally, nationally and globally, whilst maximising the role of innovation in delivering net zero growth opportunities.

Angela Wilkinson is the 6th Secretary General and CEO of the World Energy Council, a diverse community network of over 3,000 member organisations that has been instrumental in promoting better energy developments in over 100 countries for nearly 100 years. Dr Wilkinson has led the Council since 2019 as it defines, enables and accelerates successful energy transitions through its unique network, practical insights and leadership dialogues. She has over 35 years of experience in leading national and international multi-stakeholder transformation initiatives on a wide range of global energy, climate and sustainable development related challenges. Previous roles include Board-level and senior executive responsibilities in the public-, private-, academic- and civic-sectors. She is also a published author.
Faustine Delasalle, Executive Director, Mission Possible Partnership Global & Vice-Chair, Energy Transitions Commission Faustine is an experienced coalition builder and recognised thought leader in the field of the energy and industry transitions. In 2019, she initiated the creation of the Mission Possible Partnership (MPP), an alliance focused on supercharging the decarbonisation of some of the world’s highest-emitting industries in heavy industry and mobility. She has steered the build-up and growth of the organisation in different roles since then. Faustine was the first Director of the Energy Transitions Commission (ETC), a founding partner of the Mission Possible Partnership, from 2016 to 2022. She spearheaded the ETC’s analysis on how to achieve net-zero energy systems globally by mid-century, and developed an extensive network of global leaders across energy, industry, finance, and civil society. She continues to serve as Vice-Chair of the ETC. She is also a Partner at Systemiq, a system change firm, supporting the ETC, where she led the Energy Transition practice. Prior to that, Faustine worked in the public sector (Parliament, local authorities), private sector (a tech start-up) and third sector (with think-tanks and NGOs). She is an alumna of SciencesPo Paris and of the London School of Economics and holds degrees in political sciences and economics. She is also an OnPurpose Fellow.
Kristin Hughes is the Director of the Global Plastic Action Partnership and a member of the Executive Committee of the World Economic Forum. Prior to this role, she founded Cranbrook International, a boutique firm based in London focusing on sustainability, communications, reputation, stakeholder engagement, and corporate responsibility. Kristin also worked at Mars serving as the Global Director of Sustainability, Health and Wellbeing in the UK and Global Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Director in Belgium. Before joining Mars, she held several positions in corporations such as Hasbro, Gap and Hewlett Packard, in addition to the public sector such as Press Advance Lead for the Dole-Kemp U.S. presidential campaign.
Mark Carney is currently the UN Special Envoy for Climate Action and Finance and Co-Chair for the Glasgow Finance Alliance for Net Zero, a practitioner-led coalition working to increase the financial sector’s ambition on climate change and accelerate the transition to a net-zero economy. Mark is a member of the Arnhold Distinguished Fellowship Program Board within Conservation International.
Mark was previously Governor of the Bank of England (from 2013 to 2020), and Governor of the Bank of Canada (from 2008 to 2013). Internationally, Mark was Chair of the Financial Stability Board (from 2011 to 2018), He chaired the Global Economy Meeting and Economic Consultative Committee of the Bank for International Settlements (from 2018-2020) and was First Vice-Chair of the European Systemic Risk Board (from 2013-2020). Mark is also an external member of Stripe’s Board, a global technology company building economic infrastructure for the internet.
He is Chair of Brookfield Asset Management and Chair of the Chatham House Panel of Senior Advisers. Mark is a member of the Global Advisory Board of PIMCO, the Group of Thirty, the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum, as well as the boards of Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Peterson Institute for International Economics, The Hoffman Institute for Global Business and Society at INSEAD and Senior Counselor to Macro Advisory Partners.
Mark was born in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories, Canada in 1965. After growing up in Edmonton, Alberta, he obtained a bachelor degree in Economics from Harvard and a masters and doctorate Degrees in Economics from Oxford. After a thirteen-year career with Goldman Sachs, Mark was appointed Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada in 2003. In 2004, he became Senior Associate Deputy Minister of Finance. He held this position until his appointment as Governor of the Bank of Canada in February 2008.
Shevaun became Director General of BCC at the end of April 2021. She joined BCC from the Cabinet Office where she led Business Partnerships. She joined the Government in 2016 and also ran the Inclusive Economy Partnership for HMG.
Shevaun started her career in consultancy in London and New York. She then moved to the Walt Disney Company in strategic planning before joining Disneyland Paris, opening the second theme park. Shevaun then joined the agency world, running global accounts for Millward Brown, Mindshare and WPP.
Following this, she became a partner in a start-up digital innovation agency and venture builder, Independents United, where she also became an Advisor for the Danson Foundation. Most recently, Shevaun was the New Ventures Director for Avado, building new businesses in Edtech and founding the Academy of Digital Business Leaders.
Shevaun has a passion for business as a force for good. She is a social impact investor, sits on the Ventures Advisory Board of UnLtd, and is Trustee of Barefoot College International as well as a board member of Women of the World Foundation
Susan Aitken was elected as Leader of Glasgow City Council in 2017, forming Glasgow’s first ever SNP-led City Government. She was first elected as a councillor for the Langside ward in 2012, following a career in public policy and communications. Susan was reappointed to a second term as Council Leader following the 2022 Scottish Local Government elections. Under her leadership, Glasgow has hosted the UN Climate Summit COP26. She was awarded Scottish Local Politician of the Year in 2019 for her work to end historic gender pay discrimination and Scottish Council Leader of the Year in 2021 for her leadership on climate issues. Susan was selected as one of 40 global city leaders for the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative Class of 2023.
