The roundtable will explore the intersections and feedback loops between corporate transition plans, transition finance and climate policy, including jurisdiction-specific sector transition plans. It will bring together finance, investment, business, civil society and the public sector. The roundtable will be in two parts: 1. Strengthening the Feedback Loop Between Company Transition Plans and Public Sector Climate Policy 2. Improving engagement between investors and the real economy through streamlined reporting At a time when corporate reporting requirements are growing it will explore how strategic transition plans can be used to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting. It will also explore how policy frameworks (Sector Transition Plans, NDCs, industrial strategies, roadmaps etc) can provide direction for companies’ transition planning efforts, supporting them to access climate finance and investment, and how, at the same time, private sector transition plan information can be leveraged to support the development of these policies.
