About this event

This event is for attendees of Climate Implementation Summit.

Context: The energy transition and the decarbonisation of industrial value chains and international transport are no longer optional climate actions — they have become a license to compete in a low-carbon global economy. Companies that integrate these agendas into their strategic governance are better positioned to capture opportunities in emerging value chains and to stand as reliable partners in a green global marketplace. This side event will showcase private sector leadership, highlighting how solutions such as powershoring and sustainable biofuels are not only critical to delivering high-ambition climate action, but also business imperatives that strengthen regulatory resilience, unlock investment opportunities, and create competitive advantage across sectors. The COP30 Action Agenda calls for concrete private sector leadership in the Energy, Industry and Transport Transition (Track I). With growing international demand for low-carbon products and regulated markets such as the EU CBAM, ICAO and IMO measures, the window for companies to position themselves as leaders is now. This side event will join stakeholders from industry, energy, finance and transport to discuss how the private sector is delivering real-economy decarbonization and how to accelerate energy and industrial transformation globally, focusing on business models, technologies and investments. This will be a closed-door session with 2 rapid fire panel discussions (~40 minutes) followed by 20 minutes of Q&A with CEOs and high-level representatives, focusing on showcasing concrete projects and investments related to industry decarbonization, energy transition and transportation.

Key Objectives:

  • Highlight private sector leadership in scaling clean energy, powershoring and sustainable fuels.
  • Demonstrate global relevance: how these solutions allow companies to access markets, reduce risks, and capture opportunities.
  • Foster cross-sector collaboration between energy, industry, finance, and transport to accelerate real-economy decarbonization.
  • Connect to COP30 priorities, positioning private sector action as a core enabler of energy, industry and transport transition pathways.
