“This high-level private roundtable will spotlight Lagos State’s leadership in driving Africa’s subnational climate finance agenda. As Africa’s largest and most dynamic megacity, Lagos is pioneering scalable models that translate global ambition into actionable, finance-ready climate projects. The session will feature the Governor of Lagos State, senior government leaders, and top executives from DFIs, investors, and private sector partners. Discussions will center on financing key initiatives, including: • The 80 Million Clean Cookstoves Project – the world’s largest Article 6.4-approved clean energy initiative. • Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA)’s E-Mobility and Urban Transport Decarbonization Program. • Climate-Smart Agriculture and Nature-Based Solutions. The session will also explore collaboration models between subnational governments, DFIs, and private financiers to accelerate Africa’s just and inclusive climate transition.”

The roundtable is designed for high-level decision-makers and financiers shaping Africa’s climate investment landscape, including: Development Finance Institutions (DFIs): IFC, AfDB, World Bank, GCF, FMO, etc. Multilateral and Bilateral Climate Funds and international donor agencies.
