About this event

The transition to a low-carbon economy will only be possible through strong collaboration between the private sector, governments, and international partners. This roundtable will bring together leaders from industry, policy, and development to explore how private sector engagement can accelerate climate action and energy transition in Brazil and beyond.

Organized in partnership with the International Climate Initiative (IKI), a funding programme of the German government, the session will highlight successful experiences of private sector participation in IKI projects, share lessons learned, and identify new pathways for joint action.

Discussions will focus on how companies can benefit from and contribute to climate initiatives — from implementing energy efficiency measures to accessing green finance and integrating sustainability into industrial strategies. Participants will explore opportunities to scale up impact through innovation, partnerships, and investment in climate-smart technologies.

Audience

This session is designed for professionals and decision-makers interested in driving climate solutions through business and investment. Participants will include representatives from industrial companies seeking to improve energy efficiency and sustainability performance, technology and energy solution providers offering innovative systems and services, financial institutions providing green credit lines and climate investment instruments, industry associations and federations representing manufacturing and energy-intensive sectors, public agencies and policymakers working on energy, environment, and industrial development, IKI project implementers and international partners involved in climate cooperation, as well as media representatives covering climate, energy, and economic innovation.
