2018 Event Highlights

Last year’s 9th Annual Sustainable Innovation Forum alongside COP 24 in Katowice, Poland, was attended by 635 delegates committed to fast-tracking the global green economy. Opened by the Hon. Michał Kurtyka, President of COP 24 and Poland’s Secretary of State for the Environment, the Forum focused on driving innovation and fostering collaboration.

Each year, the Sustainable Innovation Forum provides a premier meeting place for policy-makers and climate technology innovators to collaborate and exchange knowledge.

Climate Change through Bubbles

As collaboration is the key enabler to achieving the Paris Agreement, the Forum’s agenda was designed to include numerous networking opportunities across the two days. Climate Action and the BMW Group were delighted to host an exclusive VIP dinner after the first day of the 9th annual Sustainable Innovation Forum 2018, on the eve of the second week of negotiations, during COP 24.

Joining us on that night was globally renowned Bubbleologist Denis Lock for an unforgettably fantastic inaugural performance of his show Climate Change through Bubbles bringing 150 VIPs from the private sector, cities, governments and NGO’s attending the Sustainable Innovation Forum and the wider COP 24 to their feet in applause.
