Mechanical engineer with a postgraduate degree in management, Gilberto Tomazoni has extensive experience and deep knowledge of the global food industry. He dedicated 27 years to Sadia, where he began as an intern and rose to the position of CEO. He later served as Vice President at Bunge Alimentos for three years, overseeing the food and ingredients business, and also acted as Executive Director for South and Central America. Tomazoni joined JBS as Global President of the Poultry Business, where, as CEO of Seara Alimentos, he successfully led its turnaround. In 2015, he was appointed Global President of Operations, and in 2017 became Global COO of JBS. In December 2018, he was named Global CEO of JBS, the world’s largest food company, with revenues exceeding US$80 billion and listed on the NYSE. Since 2013, he has chaired the Board of Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation, a U.S. company listed on NASDAQ with revenues of US$18 billion. He also serves as Chairman of Rigamonti Salumificio S.p.A. (Italy) and Excelsior Alimentos S.A. (Brazil). Additionally, Tomazoni is a Board Member of JBS N.V., the Brazilian Fast Food Corporation (BFFC), Amcham (American Chamber of Commerce), CDESS (Economic and Social Development Council of the Presidency of Brazil), and has been a founding member of the International Advisory Board of Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC).
