Hosted by Climate Action, the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) and UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), the event will be one of the biggest finance sector events held alongside COP28.
As a key platform for open dialogue with the finance sector, the event will provide 400 participants the opportunity to enhance collaboration, foster dialogue, promote clear standards, and drive sustainable practices across assets classes and portfolios.
The PRI and UNEP FI will bring to the table banks, insurers and investors for discussions on decarbonization, as well as pioneering work on nature and biodiversity, adaptation, the Just Transition and leading research and best practices to identify, measure, disclose, and manage sustainability risks in the financial sector. Our goal is to align sustainable finance with the real economy and enable a just transition to a net-zero, nature positive global economy.
Blue Zone accreditation is not required for this free-to-attend event.
With the participation of institutional investors, asset managers, bankers, insurers, policymakers, and other leading finance stakeholders, the Forum will foster dialogue, promote clear standards, and drive sustainable investing across assets classes and portfolios. By bringing together 400 global finance stakeholders, the Forum will discuss portfolio alignment, risk mitigation, and the importance of investing for impact to ensure a just and equitable transition at COP28.
The Sustainable Finance Forum 2023 will be hosted at the free-to-attend Climate Action Innovation Zone, a hub for cross-sector collaboration at COP28.
With independent badging, the Innovation Zone will be an accessible, professionally-run centre of gravity, outside of the Blue & Green Zones.
Open between Monday 4th and Friday 8th December at the Madinat Jumeirah Conference Centre, Dubai, the Innovation Zone will include an exhibition of innovative climate solutions, diverse workshop and roundtable spaces, a business lounge, numerous meeting rooms, dinners and evening receptions.
Established in 2007 and headquartered in London, UK, Climate Action establishes and builds partnerships between business, government and public bodies to accelerate international sustainable development and advance the ‘green economy’.
