Climate Action Innovation Zone 2026
The Climate Action Innovation Zone is independent from the official COP31 Zones, positioned as a cross-sector hub of COP31 convening the corporate leaders, investors, policymakers and key global stakeholder leaders who must work together to turn pledges into proof. Anchored by the 17th edition of the Sustainable Innovation Forum and structured around the Global Climate Action Agenda’s six thematic axes, it opens the arc of high-level engagement at COP31, connecting private-sector delivery capacity with the public-sector conditions that unlock it.
• Organised by Climate Action an independent zone alongside the UNFCCC Blue and Green Zones by choice, giving us full control over programme, badging, attendance and logistics to build a more agile, responsive experience for decision-makers across finance, technology and policy.
• Complementary, not duplicative: the official COP31 programme runs industry-specific thematic days across two weeks. The Innovation Zone two-day, cross-sector programme runs at the very start of week one from 10-11 November, giving delegates who can’t stay the full duration or who fall outside their sector’s thematic day, a single, high-level moment to convene across sectors and set the tone.
• Qualified, targeted, not general: built around purpose for a qualified attendance of decision-makers from across all sectors, not delegate volume: proof of progress, capital deployed and measurable results, set against where expertise, technology, investment and operational capacity are still needed to scale. A mainstage plenary is complemented by track stages including the Action Stage and deep dive roundtables, plus partner-hosted private events, dinners, networking receptions, a breakthrough pavilion and media hub: every mode of engagement, from headline interviews to the practitioner-led discussions where partnerships take shape

Organiser: Climate Action
Established in 2007 and headquartered in London, Climate Action is an independent organisation committed to facilitating collaboration to accelerate the transition to a net zero, just and sustainable world.
We run a series of industry-leading media and event platforms to help forge public-private-partnerships, bringing together CEOs, CSOs investors, politicians and city leaders to scale impact and deliver real change on the ground. Our impact-driven events include the Sustainable Innovation Forum (alongside COP), Sustainable Investment Forums (in New York and Paris), and the Climate Innovation Forum (in London).
We have a long history of successfully hosting events alongside the UN COP Negotiations having run the Sustainable Innovation Forum since COP16 in 2010. The Innovation Zone was launched at COP26 in Glasgow and returned to COP27 in Sharm El Sheikh. This was the 3rd edition of the Climate Action Innovation Zone, running between 04-08 December 2023 alongside COP28 in Dubai.
